Cycling Transfers That Have Taken Place For The Year 2015

Cycling teams are busy finalizing their squads for the 2015 cycling season because the 2014 season is coming to an end soon. Most of the transfers will be taking place in the months of July or August in 2015 but then it might happen that riders move to other teams during the months of winter. Here is a look at some of the cycling transfers that have taken place for the 2015 cycling season.
Nicolas Roche (Irish rider) is leaving Alberto Contador’s Team Tinkoff-Saxo in order to strengthen Chris Froome’s Team Sky. Luis León Sánchez (Spanish rider) is joining Astana Team for the 2015-16 cycling season and leaving Caja Rural-Seguros RGA.
After representing Team Sky for about five years, Edvald Boasson Hagen has decided to join the South African team called MTN-Qhubeka. According to Hagen, he has experienced five great cycling seasons with Sky. But now it’s time to face new challenges and MTN-Qhubeka is the right platform for it.
Ivan Basso has signed a contract with Team Tinkoff-Saxo for two years. Oleg Tinkov (Team Tinkoff-Saxo’s owner) said that Basso can become one of the most essential assets for the team especially in the 2015 Giro d’Italia where Alberto Contador (leader of the Tinkoff-Saxo squad) will be looking to win the tour.
Bauke Mollema is moving from Team Belkin to Team Trek Factory Racing. Since Andy Schleck has retired from Team Trek Factory Racing, Mollema is going to get the ultimate opportunity to lead the team in Tour de France next year.
Nacer Bouhanni is leaving FDJ.fr to join Cofidis because Marc Madiot (Team FDJ.fr’s manager) did not give him a chance to participate in the 2014 Tour de France.
Peter Sagan moves from Cannondale to Team Tinkoff-Saxo for the next year’s cycling season. Sagan’s deal with Tinkoff-Saxo is surely the blockbuster contract of 2014.
